Work on one thing at a time until finished.

Start no more new books, add no more new material to “Black Spring.”

Don’t be nervous. Work calmly, joyously, recklessly on whatever is in hand.

Work according to Program and not according to mood. Stop at the appointed time!

When you can’t create you can work.

Cement a little every day, rather than add new fertilizers.

Keep human! See people, go places, drink if you feel like it.

Don’t be a draught-horse! Work with pleasure only.

Discard the Program when you feel like it—but go back to it next day. Concentrate. Narrow down. Exclude.

Forget the books you want to write. Think only of the book you are writing.

Write first and always. Painting, music, friends, cinema, all these come afterwards.

I’ve always said that I believe in what religion stands for which I interpret to basically be ‘live for the greater good’. With that said, I’ll never be religious or believe in god. No hate either way. It’s all good.

Word, this is the patented LAS method for pocket square insertion. Keep in mind, I’m not really a fold kinda cat.

1. Pick out your pocket square. This is easily the most crucial, but underrated step.

2. Pinch the center of the pocket square. This is called the pinch point (official terminology).

3. Lift up from said pinch point. Marvel at how the fabric drapes like the golden locks of a virgin princess trapped inside of a massive tower.

4. Stuff pinch point into your pocket on some “fuck the world” shit almost as if this specific pocket square literally murdered all of your loved ones. Most likely by smothering them to death.

5. Bask in the glory of your spezz, but only for a second as you don’t want anyone who might be in range to think that you have a blog, let a lone a Tumblr blog, devoted to hashtag menswear.

Don’t be be scared- be nervous. Your nerves will keep you on your toes- anxious and excited.

2 guys stand at the top of a quarterpipe ready to drop in. They understand the risks, they understand the reward, they understand the logistics of the decent from the coping of the ramp, through the transition, and out the trough. The first guy commits. He’s anxious so he leans right into the drop. Goes for it. His excitement and desire for this foreign thrill send him confidently through the ramp. Maybe not as smooth as a seasoned skater, but he made it.

The second guy is scared. He’s been explained the mechanics time after time, but his anxiety supersedes his excitement. This guy caves to the pressure, and goes for it. Through his decent he is still negotiating the maneuver (second guessing his approach) he holds back and slides his tail down the ramp to the inevitable full aerial wipeout.

I’ve been both guys- Literally and Figuratively.

I’m nervous for what come’s next. I’m nervous, because I don’t know if I’ll be ready. I’m not scared though. I’m confident I’ll make it work best for me- ready or not.

Keep being you- keep thinking progressively. Maybe not on a global scale. Not yet. Progress yourself- for yourself. You’ll find those who aren’t ready to join your vision [as small or large as it may be] will fade away. You’ll attract new people, and be attracted to new people, ideas, motifs, lifestyles. Don’t be scared. If you keep following your own instincts, the dead weight will shed away, and you’ll find new strength to sustain you.

Wear your rituals like armor to protect you from dispair.

4 Reasons I Prefer Lunch Dates To Dinner Dates.

I can’t cook (yet). So why attempt to impress a girl with a poor excuse for a meal? Going out for dinner for a first date is great if you just met a girl, but let’s say you’ve seen her around and maybe had coffee once or twice (planned or not). Get creative, but keep it simple. Make lunch at home, or prepare a lunch to enjoy elsewhere. Think meats like prosciutto or genoa, and some mild cheeses. I suggest you also add (or substitute meat/cheese) with vegetables you can slice and eat without utensils- Think Red Peppers, Cucumber, Carrots. Maybe most importantly pick up (or prepare for an extra bonus) a spread/dip like guacamole, mayonnaise, and hummus. I stole all these images from sokokashiko.com. I recommend you bookmark it.
